Miguel’s Jr. in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to supervise Front and Back of House operations alongside the General Manager, ensuring daily excellence and strong guest service. The role emphasizes leadership, talent development, and adherence to brand standards.

You will drive performance, manage talent, and help control financials while maintaining sanitation and safety. This on-site position promotes internal advancement within a family-oriented fast-service

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory/management role in a QSR with P&L exposure.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team.
• Proficient in written and spoken English communication.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

TheAssistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for the Front and Back of theHouse operations of a single business location with the General Manager andwhenever s/he is offsite. This position is not present in every location andcan also be considered a leadership developmental position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drives combined team performancein BOH and FOH towards daily excellence in execution and great guestservice.
• Creates a positive spirit ofpride and fellowship across the team and in the work environment topromote sales and retention of top talent with the support of the GM.
• Promotes guest serviceproactively and represents the company on guest recovery regardingrestaurant-level issues/complaints
• Work with the GM to activelysolicit, interview and select top talent from a pool of external,internal, and referred candidates to fulfill current and future needs.
• Understand and help manage thefinancial and operational performance of the business to meet and exceedits goals/metrics.
• Leads by example through formalperformance management, coaching, and positive role modeling of service,company policies and procedures, and brand standards.
• Key developmental focus is theShift Supervisors as direct reports to both GM and AGM
• Maintains a safe, secure, andhealthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitationstandards and procedures, complying with legal regulations; securingrevenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; maintains securityand sprinkler systems, parking lot, and walkway.
• Daily communication with the GMto ensure all tasks, issues, and day-to-day items are handled efficientlyand properly.
• Completes other duties asassigned by GM
• Obtain a ServSafe Certificationwithin 90 days of hire

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of experiencein a previous supervisory/management role with the QSR with some if nottotal P&L responsibilities/impact
• Proven ability to lead, manageand motivate a team
• Proficiency in oral and writtencommunication to effectively be a team leader and member withpredominantly English-speaking guests and team members
• Intermediate computer skillsincluding MS Office: (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Excel)
• High School Diploma orEquivalent
