Job summary

Palm Beach Tan in Baton Rouge is hiring an Assistant General Manager who loves leading people, setting goals, and taking on new challenges. You will help drive sales, train teammates, and create a welcoming guest experience that keeps customers returning.

This role offers hands-on development through our Management Development Program, ongoing coaching, and opportunities for advancement. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k) plan to support your future.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership experience such as keyholder, shift lead, or similar.
• Experience in sales, retail, customer service, or hospitality.
• Confident, positive, and capable of leading and working with people.
• Goal-oriented with interest in sales and customer relationships.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Must be at least 18 and have reliable transportation; flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Coach and motivate the salon team while developing your leadership skills.
• Help the team reach sales goals through memberships and retail.
• Create a welcoming customer experience and educate customers about products.
• Train team members, provide feedback, and encourage goal achievement.
• Support daily operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and cleanliness.
• Monitor goals and metrics and keep the team focused on results.
• Engage in the Management Development Program toward future leadership.

What You'll Do

• Support, coach, and motivate the salon team while developing your own leadership skills.
• Help the team reach daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals through memberships and retail sales.
• Create a welcoming customer experience and confidently educate customers about our products and services.
• Help train team members, provide feedback, and encourage the team to reach its goals.
• Learn and support daily operations including opening and closing, cash handling, cleanliness, and administrative tasks.
• Monitor goals and key performance metrics and help the team stay focused on results.
• Take on increasing responsibility through our Management Development Program and work toward future leadership opportunities.

What We're Looking For
