Navitus Health Solutions is hiring an Assistant General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs to lead a team providing day-to-day legal support and guidance on complex federal and state healthcare laws. You will help navigate licensing, regulatory changes, and compliance across the organization.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate or equivalent, US-state licensure, and 6+ years of legal experience. Collaboration with Lumicera and Archimedes teams is expected to ensure ethical practice and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate, LLM, or equivalent from ABA-accredited law school required.
  • License to practice law in at least one US state required; Wisconsin preferred.
  • 6+ years of legal experience.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of attorneys and paralegals providing day-to-day legal support.
  • Provide analysis on federal and state healthcare laws and regulatory changes.

USD $162,722.00 - USD $203,403.00 /Yr.

The Assistant General Counsel for Regulatory Affairs reports to the Chief Legal Officer and is responsible for managing a team of attorneys and paralegals that provide day-to-day legal support for Navitus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and counsel to Navitus on legal issues related to complex federal and state healthcare laws, manage corporate licensing, and help guide the company through legislative and regulatory changes impacting its operations.
  • Collaborate with Lumicera and Archimedes teams to ensure compliance with relevant law, ethical business practices, and Navitus’ mission and values.
  • Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Navitus Legal Team in meeting organizational needs.
  • Manage processes related to licensing and regulatory requirements for Navitus.
  • Inform the development of new Navitus initiatives from a legal perspective and provide guidance on legal issues that help shape the organization’s direction and impact as a whole related to contracts and IT systems.
  • Update, review, and approve policies and procedures related to Navitus legal needs.
  • Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts and legal codes.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations and relevant policies and procedures to ensure actions are consistent with Navitus’ mission and values as well as organizational and professional ethical requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Whatourteamexpectsfrom you?

  • Completion of a Juris Doctorate, LLM, or equivalent degree from an ABA accredited Law school required. Additional Business or pharmacy degree preferred.
  • License to practice law in at least one US state required. License to practice law in Wisconsin preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience working in legal required.
  • Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
