Qualifications

Summary

The Assistant General Counsel will provide legal support for LG Electronics USA's Pro Builder business, which sells and installs home appliances and other products in residential construction projects. See https://www.lg.com/us/business/builder. The role includes ensuring appropriate controls to mitigate legal risks and supporting business legal needs.

Responsibilities

1. Draft, review, and support negotiations of complex sales, installation, construction, and service agreements with home builders, distributors, vendors, and other parties.
2. Advise on antitrust and other legal issues related to distribution, online sales, and other operations.
3. Review and advise on external communications, including marketing materials, press releases, and presentations.
4. Collaborate with risk management on insurance coverage obligations.
5. Provide guidance on licensing and regulatory requirements.
6. Manage disputes, government actions, or subpoenas, including supporting outside counsel when necessary.
7. Report and support litigation processes as needed.
8. Support LGEUS’ Home Appliance and B2B teams in the U.S. as required.

Qualifications

• JD degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience negotiating agreements with residential builders or similar entities.
• Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
• Construction industry experience preferred; in-house legal experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently within a multinational organization.
• Location in Englewood Cliffs, NJ; Alpharetta, GA; or Lincolnshire, IL, with limited travel (10%).
• Valid Bar license in NJ, GA, IL, or ability to obtain one promptly.

Salary range: $150,000 — $200,000 USD
