Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. seeks a General Counsel for Antitrust and White Collar to lead strategic antitrust and white-collar criminal matters for Honeywell Automation following the spin of the Aerospace segment.

You will be a member of the Regulatory and Compliance department, collaborating with senior legal and business leaders across M&A, Strategy, Finance, HR and Audit. The role reports to the GC for Regulatory and Compliance, will work with executive leadership, and requires a law

Qualifications

  • J.D. or equivalent law degree and admission to practice in the United States.
  • 8–14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to synthesize complex issues quickly and communicate clearly and succinctly.
  • First chair experience resolving antitrust and white-collar matters with the government.

Responsibilities

  • Antitrust leadership: provide strategic advice, conduct risk assessments, implement compliance programs, collaborate with M&A/Legal and corporate strategy teams, evaluate ventures, investigations, and interact with government officials.
  • White collar: develop defenses, engage with government agencies, coordinate with external counsel, develop strategic defense approaches, oversee discovery and submissions, advise senior leadership on exposure and litigation risk.

Serve as the leader on antitrust and white-collar criminal matters for Honeywell Automation, Honeywell’s stand‑alone business that will remain after the execution of its spin of the Aerospace segment to the public markets. You will be a member of the larger Regulatory and Compliance department, working with peers in all areas of law. This position has no direct reports.

Thisrolewillreporttothe GC for Regulatory and Compliance.Therolewillworkwith senior legal and compliance leadership and interact closely with business leaders and other functional professionals including, M&A, Strategy, Finance, HR and Audit.

Responsibilities
Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:

Antitrust

  • Providestrategicadviceand counselonallaspectsofantitrust andcompetitionlawconfrontedbya multi-industry global company
  • Conductantitrustriskassessmentsandgapanalysis,andleadmulti-functionalteamsincarryingout action plan
  • Implementationofannualantitrustcomplianceprogramincludingtrainingtodifferentfunctionsand legal teams
  • Collaboratewithcross-functionalteams,inparticulartheM&ALegal,CorporateStrategyteams,to advise regarding antitrust and competition law compliance
  • SupporttheM&ALegalteaminevaluatingventures,makingrequiredfilings,andonboardingof acquired assets
  • Conductinvestigationsintopossibleviolationofantitrustandanticorruptionlaw
  • Respondtoandinteractwithgovernmentofficialsonmattersrelatedtoantitrustandcompetitionlaw

White Collar

  • Serve as the internal expert on the process to manage white-collar matters within Automation, including developing legal defenses, engaging with governmental agencies and partnering with the Litigation and Investigations teams to respond to inquiries such as subpoenas, civil investigative demands, regulatory requests from agencies such as the US Department of Justice, the SEC, Treasury and OFAC and international regulators such as the European Commission.
  • Manage and coordinate with external counsel on high‑risk criminal and regulatory enforcement matters in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop and execute strategic defense approaches for criminal enforcement matters impacting the company or its employees.
  • Oversee factual development, document preservation and production, interviews, and preparation of written submissions to authorities.
  • Advise senior leadership on potential exposure, collateral consequences, settlement options, and litigation risk.

The annual base salary range for this position is < $255K - $325K >. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
