The Hertz Corporation seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide risk-based legal counsel on franchise and agency matters. You will structure, draft, review, and negotiate franchise, agency, and related agreements, and lead global franchise disclosure document preparation with internal and external resources.

What We’re Looking For

• A juris doctor degree (or foreign equivalent). In the alternative, willing to accept Master of Laws degree (or foreign equivalent).
• Must be admitted to the bar and in good standing in Florida, or admitted to the bar and in good standing in another jurisdiction and eligible for limited licensure of in-house counsel in Florida.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience providing legal advice to business stakeholders on commercial transactions or franchising-related matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating regional, whole country, and in-country franchise agreements.
• Experience drafting and negotiating related ancillary agreements and providing guidance on in-term contract matters.
• Experience drafting processes and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency of a franchise operation.
• Experience managing litigation and advising on the strategic impact of decisions during litigation.
