Texas Health Resources seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide dedicated legal support to hospitals, service lines, and system initiatives, helping manage regulatory compliance, contracting, medical staff matters, and enterprise projects.

The role requires a J.D. and Texas Bar admission within 6 months, 7 years of legal experience (5 in a relevant area). The position offers hybrid work, competitive benefits, and the chance to impact patient care across the THR system.

Competenze

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required.
• 7 years of legal experience required.

The AGC has the following duties and responsibilities:

Represents and advises in all legal matters for THR hospitals, THPG, or other THR System Services departments. Handles a wide range of legal responsibilities as assigned. Assists with interpretation and application of State and Federal rules.

Participate as a member and/or attend various committees and/or meetings.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• J.D. Required

Experience

• 7 Years Legal experience Required
• 5 Years Legal experience in specialty area of position Required
• Healthcare Law experience is Strongly Preferred

The primary focus of work experience in the hospital/health care industry should includeHospital operations. Medical malpractice experience isnotrelevant to this position.

Licenses and Certifications

• JD - Juris Doctor by State Bar of Texas with in 6 Months of hire Required

Skills

• Strong academic credentials, excellent writing and speaking skills, ability to relate to all levels of personnel within THR as well as medical staff members.
