Job summary

Confidential operates a plant-level Quality Assurance and Food Safety program to ensure compliance with government regulations, GFSI, and customer requirements. The role supports the QA and Food Safety Manager, driving continuous improvement and acting as a plant-level subject matter expert in quality and food safety.

Responsibilities include implementing the Quality Management System, auditing, regulatory reporting, and coaching QA staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field such as Food Technology, Food Science or Microbiology.
• Minimum 3 years of quality assurance and food safety management experience in food manufacturing.

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, FSMA, and preventive control requirements.
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory reporting, and audit readiness.
• Monitor product quality, manage samples, analyze performance metrics, and identify improvements.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Train QA personnel and plant staff while covering the Quality Manager as needed.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and provide guidance to Quality Leads.

Supports the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager in leading plant-level quality and food safety operations, ensuring compliance with government regulations, GFSI, RFG, and customer requirements. Drives continuous improvement and serves as a plant-level subject matter expert in quality and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of the plant Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, FSMA, and preventive control requirements.
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory reporting, food safety assessments, and audit readiness.
• Monitor product quality, manage sample retention, analyze performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and address quality and food safety issues.
• Train QA personnel and plant employees while providing coverage for the Quality Manager as needed.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and provide guidance to Quality Leads.

Qualifications
