Job summary

Beaufort County School District Whale Branch Middle in Seabrook, SC is seeking an Assistant Football Coach to lead student-athletes in football fundamentals, teamwork and discipline. Qualifications

Must have previous coaching experience in the assigned sport.
Knowledge/background in the assigned sport.
Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
Must pass criminal background check.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Instruct athletes in fundamentals, sportsmanship, cooperation, strategy and conditioning.
Assist in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
Plan and schedule regular practice programs in-season.
Maintain attendance forms, insurance records and related documents.
Oversee safety conditions in facilities where the sport is conducted.
Establish and implement academic eligibility criteria for interscholastic competition.
Enforce conduct standards and penalties for breaches by student athletes.
Recommend purchase of equipment and uniforms as appropriate.
