Position Purpose

Build a cohesive Personal Training team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members receive an exceptional fitness experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily sales targets are met, especially during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent, by leading the team and driving initiatives.
• Promote personal training packages and build strong rapport with members to drive sales.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions.
• Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and ensure a smooth transition into the club experience.
• Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate fitness needs and goals.
• Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention, and engagement.
• Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through coaching sessions and continuous support.
• Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
• Supervise facility maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain certifications, and implement safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of customer service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills across all levels.
• Strong detail orientation and systematic problem‑solving approach, with good time management and organizational skills.
• Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry is a plus.

Requirements

• Available to work nights and weekends.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Valid personal training certification.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a gym setting, move about gym floors and rooms, and communicate with employees, members, and the public.
• Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs.
• Ability to access and operate the company computer system, including preparing documents and entering data.

Eligible Compensation

• Variable income opportunities including commission and bonus.
• Post‑training salary increase.
• Base salary: $19.90 – $21.90 USD.
