Edgemine, based in Los Angeles, is seeking an Assistant Fashion Designer to support the full design and development cycle for Blu Pepper and other brands. The role is production-heavy, focusing on trend research, sketching, fittings, and photoshoot prep to keep the design calendar on track.

Ideal candidates are focused, organized, and eager to gain hands-on wholesale apparel experience. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced fashion house offering growth and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Research seasonal trends, colors, and fabrics for Blu Pepper brand.

• Build and maintain tech packs for sampling and production.
• Support sample tracking, fit sessions, and factory updates.
• Assist on campaign photoshoots and on-set prep.
• Enter and update style data in ERP and maintain internal style records.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring an Assistant Fashion Designer to join our design teams. This is a hands-on, production-heavy role that supports every stage of the design and development process — from trend research and sketching to fittings and photoshoot prep. The work is deadline-driven and detail-oriented, but it's what keeps the design calendar on track and the product consistent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research seasonal trends, colors, and fabrics aligned with the Blu Pepper brand direction
• Create and revise flat sketches, colorways, and CADs
• Build and maintain organized tech packs for sampling and production
• Support sample tracking, fit sessions, and communicate updates to the factory
• Help prep for campaign photoshoots — steaming, organizing garments, and assisting on set
• Enter and update style data in ERP and maintain internal style records

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• A strong eye for women's fashion, silhouette, and product development
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or similar tools)
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, especially in process-based, repetitive tasks
• A dependable team player with clear, professional communication
• Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus
• Prior internship or experience in wholesale or production environments preferred
