Position SummaryThe Assistant Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of WeDriveU facilities nationwide. Based in the Washington, DC area, this role will coordinate facilities support for multiple transit operations, including maintenance yards, dispatch centers, administrative buildings, and satellite locations. The position requires regular travel to active and prospective sites across the United States and close collaboration with site leaders, vendors, and the Facilities and Operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility management.

Key Responsibilities

Support the maintenance and operational readiness of all WeDriveU facilities across the national portfolio

Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and upgrades with internal teams and third-party vendors

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and operational regulations including OSHA, ADA, and DOT site requirements

Assist in procurement and oversight of facility-related services such as janitorial, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, and waste management

Monitor facility budgets, review vendor quotes, and assist in cost tracking and invoice processing

Conduct routine facility inspections and audits to identify hazards or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions

Support new facility setup activities including site preparation, infrastructure coordination, and utility installations

Maintain accurate facility records including maintenance logs, warranties, service agreements, and floor plans

Assist in the implementation of standardized procedures and facility best practices across all sites

Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency facility issues when required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, or related role

Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems

Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility ticketing platforms

Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across locations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time nationwide

Facility management certifications such as CFM, FMP, or OSHA 30 preferred
