The position requires five years in stewarding or related operations, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Travel is minimal; full-time benefits apply per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Coach, counsel, track attendance, verify payroll, and schedule according to business levels for the steward team.

• Inspect equipment and kitchen areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain inventory and record keeping for dinnerware and glassware.
• Manage set-up and breakdown of events and monitor costs.

Ensure sanitation standards and cleanliness in all kitchen areas. Clean and sanitize all areas of the kitchen and operate the dish washing machine in a safe, accident-free manner. As well as ensuring the organization, sanitation and cost of the operation is consistent with the overall food and beverage goals and objectives***ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** * Coach, counsel, track attendance, verify payroll, and schedule according to business levels for the steward team.* Train new stewards as required.* Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term objectives.* Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.* Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained.* Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed.* Approve requisitions related to all cleaning supplies and equipment and monitor supply to ensure costs are kept to a minimum without losing quality and usage of materials.* Maintain inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware and glassware, glass and silver.* Ensure proper set-up, breakdown and maintenance of all special events.* ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED***EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:**** Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent* Certificate(s) or License(s): Valid Driver’s License* Years of experience: Five years of experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, kitchen operations or similar.
