This entry-level environmental engineering position in the Licensing and Compliance Division of the Bureau of Air Quality is responsible for reviewing and processing air emission license applications for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities throughout the state in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations; conducting compliance assistance activities; writing, reviewing, and analyzing technical reports; and participating in rule making activities, as assigned. The position interfaces with facilities and their consultants, staff from the Bureau of Air Quality and from other bureaus in the Department, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the public, and other interested parties.

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; or a related Engineering field. Related experience may be substituted for education.
An example of a related engineering field would be Bioengineering.
