Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Engineering Property Manager to support multi-property operations and ensure reliable building systems performance. You will assist in budgets, bids, inspections, and vendor management while coordinating with tenants and clients to uphold service standards.

The role requires HVAC/building systems knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to juggle multiple projects; travel between properties is expected.

Qualifications

  • Completion of technical school certification or four-year degree relating to HVAC design and maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in operation, installation and maintenance of building systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety and control systems.
  • Understanding of building operations and safety codes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate bid proposals and service contracts.
  • Assist supervisor with budgets and monthly financial reports; assist with deposits when on-site.
  • Lead regular inspections of properties with service vendors and contractors.
  • Oversee performance of service contractors and vendors.
  • Mentor and guide junior compliance/engineering staff.
  • Contribute data and analysis to team meetings and reports.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel between properties as required.

Assistant Engineering Property Manager

Job Description Summary

The Assistant Engineering Property Manager is responsible for assisting in all areas defined as a part of the Assistant Engineering Property Manager job description, as well as performing property administrator job duties if there is no property administrator role on the team. The Assistant Engineering Property Manager will ensure a high level of professionalism and foster positive relationships with tenants and clients.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and coordinate bid proposals and service contracts
  • Assist supervisor with aspects of annual budgets preparation and monthly financial reports, as well as preparation of bank deposits if processed at on site management office
  • Responsible for leading regular inspections of properties with janitorial and landscape providers and any other service provider as directed by the manager
  • Participates in performance oversight of all service contractors who perform contract services
  • Highly motivated with outstanding communication skills, both oral and written Strong problem solving ability and accuracy of the regulatory strategy
  • Sound knowledge of testing modules with substantial knowledge of best practices
  • Assigned responsibilities and provide guidance and mentoring the work activities of less experienced compliance engineer
  • Contributing information and analysis to team meetings and reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of critical system mechanical, electrical components and Data Center Operations.
  • In-depth working knowledge of all aspects of building systems and operations, contractual maintenance, construction and related services, and local laws and building codes pertaining to building operations and safety.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead employees, experience with HR processes as they relate to direct reports (e.g., performance management, development, coaching, feedback, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of Technical school certification or four year degree relating to HVAC design and maintenance plus a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in the operation, installation and maintenance of building systems with in depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
