We are looking for a special individual to serve as our next Assistant Engineer I within our Construction Management Unit.
As an Assistant Engineer I, you will support and learn key aspects of contract administration, materials testing, and field inspection on major public works construction projects. You will learn and assist with performing construction inspections to ensure standards of civil or mechanical engineering are complied with. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands‑on experience while ensuring that construction activities and materials comply with established standards and specifications.
In this role you will work closely with design engineers, project managers, construction managers, operations staff, technical experts, and external agencies, gaining exposure to a wide range of engineering disciplines. License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application).
