Job summary

Premier Preschool in Bethesda, MD seeks a part-time Float Teacher to support classrooms serving children 6 weeks to 5 years old. You will float between rooms, assist with daily routines, diapering, transitions, and supervision to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

The position is Monday–Friday, year-round, with shifts from morning to afternoon. Must be 18+, provide background check eligibility, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• 1 year of experience with children in any capacity.

Responsibilities

• Float between classrooms serving children 6 weeks to 5 years old.
• Assist teachers with daily routines including diaper changes and handwashing.
• Help supervise children during activities, playtime, and snack time.
• Support opening/closing procedures and reset classrooms for the next day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment per licensing guidelines.
• Provide additional classroom support as needed for smooth daily operations.

Our client is looking for fun, nurturing, and energetic Part-Time Early Childhood Teachers to join their premier preschool in Bethesda, MD. This floating support position works throughout the center, assisting classrooms serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Responsibilities include helping with classroom cleanup and start-of-day and/or end-of-day procedures, supporting teachers with diapering and toileting routines, assisting with coverage during lunch breaks, and providing general classroom support as needed. The ideal candidate is flexible, reliable, and enjoys working with children while helping maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing learning environment.

• This is a Direct Hire position with the school
• Part-Time; Monday - Friday; year-round employment

Open Positions

• Floater Teacher: must be willing to work with children 6 weeks to 5 years old

Schedule

• Morning:7:00amto 9:00am or 10:00am
• Midday:11:00amto2:00pm
• Afternoon:3:00pm or 4:00pm to6:00pm
• Split Shift:A combination of a morning and afternoon shift
• Monday through Friday availability is required for all shifts!

Salary

• $17.00 - $19.00/hourpending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Job Responsibilities

• Float between classrooms serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, providing support where needed throughout the day
• Assist teachers with daily classroom routines, including diaper changes, toileting, handwashing, and transitions.
• Help supervise children during activities, playtime, and snack time while promoting a safe and nurturing environment.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in accordance with licensing and health guidelines.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED Education:High School Diploma
• REQUIRED Experience:1 year of experience working with children in any capacity (babysitting and nannying welcomed!)
• PREFERRED Education:Maryland Child Care Aide Certification (the school will also help you to obtain this certification!)
• PREFERRED Experience:1 year of experience working with children in an Early Childhood Education facility or in a professional setting
• Mustbe at least 18years old
• Mustmeet background check eligibility
• Mustbe able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Toddler classrooms, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
