Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Lake Bluff, IL is seeking an Assistant District Manager to help grow district operations. You’ll support leadership, direction and policy enforcement while working outdoors with a team to serve residential and commercial clients.

You’ll educate customers about tree care, provide estimates, and develop plant health programs. This role offers advancement, comprehensive benefits, and a starting salary of $80,000 plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist® certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Driver’s license is required for local travel to sites.
• Good people skills, self-motivated, computer proficient and organized.
• Knowledgeable in tree care, hazard tree evaluation, IPM and industry practices.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses and related state licenses where required.
• Preferred: 2- or 4-year degree in a green industry.

• Work with the crew, sales team, and office staff to direct operations.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Work as a tree doctor that makes house calls.
• Educate residential and commercial customers on the needs of their trees.
• Provide customers with estimates based on their needs.
• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.
• Create and build relationship with new and existing clients.
• Set up, supervise, and train crew members, sales team, and office staff.
• As part of the office management team you assist the District Manager in the direction of the team.

Qualifications
