Job summary

RISE is hiring an Assistant Director for the Mohave County District in Kingman, AZ to lead Direct Support Professional staff and oversee program operations. The role requires ensuring regulatory compliance, staff development, and effective coordination with state agencies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), supervise complex programs, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Travel within the state is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or two years supervisory experience in managing complex programs; or four years of experience with two years supervisory experience.
• Preferred knowledge/experience with Arizona DES/DDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Appropriate telephone etiquette skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to travel locally and within the state as needed.
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license and meet driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and support to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and perform staff performance management for Direct Support Professionals (DSP).
• Ensure compliance with DES/DDD and licensing requirements.
• Foster a learning organization and enhance staff knowledge and skills.
• Maintain records, logs, and documentation for planning teams and state agencies.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
• Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings.
• Oversee payroll summaries and ensure DOL compliance.
• Manage financial and budgetary issues.
• Assist people with daily living supports, medications, community access as needed.
• Ensure clean and safe environments.

The Assistant Director provides leadership and support to our Direct Support Professional staff along with the people and families we serve.
