Job summary

Hilton is seeking an Assistant Director of Security to oversee safety and security functions in a hotel environment, ensuring guest and staff safety while supporting the overall hospitality experience.

The role involves leading safety training, coordinating security operations, and coordinating with law enforcement, with a focus on developing a high-performing security team and maintaining the standards of Hilton’s renowned hospitality culture.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and security operations: Assist the Director in overseeing all safety and security functions, including OSHA compliance, promoting safe work practices, and managing department systems, budgets, and policies
• Oversee safety training: Assist in leading the coordination and administration of safety training programs, including CPR, fire and life safety, workplace violence prevention, and driver training
• Ensure property safety: Assist in directing security patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address safety risks, security threats, and undesired conditions
• Support investigations: Assist in leading inquiries into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities
• Direct emergency responses: Assist in leading responses to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and security threats
• Liaise with law enforcement: Act as a key contact for federal, state, and local authorities on security-related matters
• Inspire and develop the team: Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build a motivated and high-performing team
