Job summary

The Ann Savannah, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, managed by Sage Hospitality Group in Savannah, GA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Sales to lead sales and marketing with energy and precision. This role focuses on delivering residential-style hospitality with consistency and heart to guests and clients.

You will drive direct sales, manage key accounts, and develop new business while maintaining strong relationships and upholding Sage's values of integrity and service excellence.

  • Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals.
  • Targets appointment-oriented sales calls and maintains reliable transportation for calls.
  • Maximizes current hotel key accounts and identifies revenue growth opportunities.
  • Captures competitors' accounts through networking and research.
  • Plans and implements an ongoing Targeted Account Development hit list to create revenue.
  • Dedicates at least 90% of work time to direct sales efforts.
  • Manages expenses and represents the hotel and Sage Hospitality with integrity.

Job Overview

The Assistant Director of Sales leads sales and marketing with energy and precision, creating an environment at The Ann Savannah where residential-style hospitality is delivered with consistency and heart. Key duties include the assistant director ofsales isa senior level sales manager with hotel experience and leaderof ,each performed with the care and professionalism Savannah's guests expect. Responsibilities
  • Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, asestablishedby management.
  • Targets appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program,in accordance withgoalsestablishedby department budget and marketing plan. Must haveownreliable transportation andpossessa valid state driver's licensein order tomake sales calls.
  • Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.
  • Captures competitor's accounts through networking,researchand reader board surveysin order totarget andsolicitthose most probable to generate new business.
  • Plans and implements an on-going Targeted Account Development "hit list" in order tocreate new revenue andacquirevaluable hotel contacts, and contracts.
  • Continually targets and prospects for newbusinessthrough telemarketing, individualcreativityand innovation.
  • Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates andfunctionspace commitmentsin order toenhance the hotel's financial performance.
  • Maintainswell-documented,accurate,organizedand up-to-date file management systemin order toservice client and employer in the most expedient,organizedand knowledgeable manner.
  • Develops strong customer relations through frequent communication and the use of professional,courteousand ethical interpersonal interaction.
  • Develops customer profiles andmaintainsan effective trace system, including trace dates and references,in order tobest meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
  • Promptlyfollows-upon all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
  • Conducts research, surveys, personalinvestigationandstudiesmarket placeand territoryin order toeffectively capitalize on the hotel's strengths and competitor's weaknesses and capabilities.
  • Focuses on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time by dedicating aminimum90% work time on direct sales efforts.
  • Professionalism: Controls expenses including travel on the property's behalfin order tominimize hotel costs.Representsthemselves, thehoteland Sage Hospitality Resources with the highest level of integrity.
  • A service-focused approach and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments andmaintainsopen communications with all coworkers for the best overall performance of the hotel. Display a neat,cleanand business-like appearanceat all times.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hotel sales experience

Knowledge/Skills

  • Requires knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills.
  • Requires the ability to hear, speak,readand write English fluently.
  • Requires 12th grade level mathematics, spelling and reading skills. Requires effective business writing skills.
  • Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, to tour property and attend functions, to climb stairs, andoperatebasic office equipment.
