Job summary

The Californian in Pasadena, California is seeking an Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) to support the Director of Rehabilitation, oversee daily therapy operations, and maintain an active clinical caseload in a skilled nursing setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a California license (PT/OT/PTA/COTA), have leadership aspirations, strong communication and organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care with a focus on quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed in California as PT, OT, PTA, or COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B therapy services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Rehabilitation with daily department operations, staffing, and therapy scheduling.
• Maintain an active patient caseload and deliver quality, patient-centered therapy services.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Support therapy utilization, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor therapist productivity, treatment schedules, and timely completion of documentation.
• Assist with Medicare Part A and Part B caseload management and clinical coordination.
• Provide guidance and support to therapy staff while promoting a positive team environment.
• Assist with staff development, training, and department performance improvement initiatives.

The Californian is an 82-bed skilled nursing facility conveniently located in Pasadena, California, directly across from Huntington Hospital. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming, supportive environment where teamwork and professional growth are valued.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who enjoys patient care and is interested in developing their leadership skills.

Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation will work closely with the Director of Rehabilitation to support the daily operations of the therapy department while maintaining an active clinical caseload.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, a strong communicator, and passionate about delivering quality rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing setting.
