Cantex Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to support the Director of Nursing Services in overseeing daily operations of a long-term care facility. The role ensures high-quality patient care in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The incumbent will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care plans, supervise rounds, and participate in care-management committees. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a valid RN license are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required in the applicable state.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise day-to-day nursing care in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure treatments, medications, and nursing services follow patient care plans and physician orders.
• Participate in annual evaluations and disciplinary actions per policy.
• Conduct regular rounds to ensure nursing staff fulfill essential functions per policy and regulations.
• Document and report any patient incidents per clinical policies and procedures.
• Notify attending physicians and families of significant changes in patient health.
• Lead or participate in weekly/monthly committees related to patient care and safety.
• Coach and develop nursing staff; conduct annual or probationary evaluations and provide counsel as needed.
