Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) *RN Required* $7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Position Overview

The ADON supports and manages Nursing Services for residents, ensuring quality care in compliance with federal, state, and company standards. In partnership with the Director of Nursing, the ADON oversees 24-hour nursing operations and takes charge of clinical activities in their absence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents per physician’s orders and regulations.
  2. Communicate policies to staff and monitor practice adherence.
  3. Participate in admissions and conduct prospective resident visits as needed.
  4. Attend management meetings to discuss resident care, staffing, and concerns.
  5. Ensure delivery of compassionate, quality care, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  6. Apply clinical quality indicators and monitor systems to meet or exceed thresholds.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community agencies to enhance services.
  8. Oversee competency testing for nursing staff.
  9. Implement infection control programs and prepare surveillance reports.
  10. Lead quality assurance activities and prepare for inspections.
  11. Develop systems for clinical program evaluation and compliance monitoring.
  12. Monitor incidents and complaints, participate in investigations.
  13. Promote safety and prevent injuries and infections.
  14. Ensure 24-hour RN coverage and compliance with regulations.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in Kansas.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory nursing experience; 5 years in healthcare preferred.
