WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Health Services assists the Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily functions of the Nursing Service Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations. The role supports maintaining the highest quality of care, under the guidance of the Executive Director, Medical Director, and Director of Health Services.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with the Director of Health Services to select, develop, and lead the clinical team.
2. Assist in coordinating nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to ensure comprehensive resident care.
3. Help implement the clinical staffing model.
4. Participate in maintaining the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
5. Prepare for and participate in facility surveys and accreditation processes.
6. Complete administrative duties such as medical forms, reports, and charting.
7. Assist in meeting accreditation standards.
8. Provide direct nursing care as needed, including on-call duties.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have: Current valid state RN license, CPR certification

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently. Must lift at least 50 lbs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
