Whisperwood Nursing & Rehab in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing services, ensure quality resident care, and support regulatory compliance. This leadership role requires dependable, clinical judgment and the ability to multitask in a busy long-term care setting.

The ADON will oversee staffing, care plans, MDS processes, infection control, and staff development while maintaining accurate documentation and fostering collaboration with physicians and care

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Strong leadership and management experience.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support floor staffing as needed.

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team! This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring quality resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires dependability, strong clinical judgement, and the ability to multitask and collaborate in a dynamic environment.

Your Impact as an Assistant Director of Nursing

In this role, you will:

• Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed
• Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
• Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans
• Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
• Uphold Infection Control: Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures
