Legends Global in Houston, TX seeks an Assistant Director of Event Services to lead the Event Services team, coordinating event management, guest experience and exhibitor services at Reliant Park. You will oversee budgets, vendor relations and contract adherence, ensuring every client requirement is met while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Reliant Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. Reliant Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), Reliant Astrodome (\"The Astrodome\"), and Reliant Arena. We are seeking a unique Assistant Director of Event Services to join our Event Services team. Under general supervision, the Assistant Director of Event Services controls and monitors the customer contact aspect and front-of-house division of the facility. Plans, monitors, directs, and manages the event coordination, security, crowd control, exhibitor services, outside contractor service functions, and enforces fire marshal regulations. Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients' requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all policies and applicable laws. Ensure all corporate business practices are being adhered to. In partnership with Human Resources, interview, hire, and train employees. Responsibilities also include planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and conflict resolution.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and seven (7) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of public assembly facility management, customer services practices and exhibitor services practices is a plus.
Good written, verbal and computer skills. Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Work in a fast-paced environment.
Operate a personal computer using Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard office equipment. Auto CAD, File Maker, and Adobe Illustrator are a plus.
Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
