Job summary

Morrison Living is hiring a dining services leader in Gastonia, NC. The role oversees day-to-day food service operations at a medium to large location, guiding a team and driving client relationships, profitability, and financial goals in the assigned area.

The position emphasizes hospitality, service excellence, and staff development, with a hands-on leadership style and collaboration with culinary leadership to deliver a restaurant-quality experience.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Experience with catering events.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

What We’re Looking For

• Restaurant management experience strongly preferred - ideal candidates will come from full-service, upscale, or high-volume restaurant operations.
• Proven experience leading front-of-house restaurant operations, including servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, supervisors, and support staff.
• Experience overseeing multiple dining outlets or service areas and maintaining consistent service standards across operations.
• Strong focus on hospitality, guest experience, service excellence, and team engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, schedule, and develop front-of-house teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Experience with catering, private events, or special-event execution preferred.
• Comfortable working in a highly visible, hands-on leadership role and engaging directly with residents, guests, and team members.
• Ability to partner with culinary leadership to deliver a restaurant-quality dining experience.
• Senior living experience is not required - we welcome candidates with strong restaurant and hospitality management backgrounds.
