Job summary

Georgetown University Law Center's Office of Career Strategy seeks an Assistant Director to advise, create resources, and run programs for 1L–3L students. The role guides students through resume and cover letter development, employer outreach, OCI prep, and career planning, with a focus on supporting those historically underrepresented in the law.

The position is hybrid, reporting to a director on the 1L team.

Qualifications

• A JD or other advanced degree.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to communicate with and listen to people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Advise JD students across 1L–3L on job search strategies and resumes.
• Create in-person, hybrid, and recorded programs and write instructional materials.
• Counsel students including those from historically underrepresented groups on applications and summer jobs.
• Collaborate with Georgetown offices, OPICS, employers, and alumni to support job search success.
• Assist with OCS/OPICS programs supporting students and graduates.
