Job summary

The Assistant Director of the Intercultural Center at Northeastern University’s New York City campus leads day-to-day operations, programs, and initiatives that advance cultural literacy and belonging among students. Reporting to the Director of Student Engagement, the IC administrator implements priorities, manages programs and resources, and evaluates impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in program coordination, leadership development, and/or student engagement.
• Experience supervising student staff, interns, and/or demonstrated capacity to supervise as role evolves.
• Experience with community resourcing and understanding of public policy landscape is highly preferred.
• Experience providing direct services to historically underrepresented young adults in urban, multicultural settings preferred.
• Experience supporting organizational change, program growth, or new initiatives desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administrative and operational functions for IC spaces and programs.
• Develop, implement, and assess educational programs and services aligned with the IC’s mission.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with campus and community organizations, alumni relations, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as an active member of committees dedicated to designing and evaluating signature initiatives and special projects.
