Job summary

The Mandel JCC of Palm Beaches is seeking an Assistant Director of Family & Youth Engagement and Camp Shalom to lead kindergarten through fifth grade programs, oversee camp operations, and grow family engagement initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Family & Youth Engagement and Camp Shalom and serves as second-in-command for the department.

The position offers opportunities for leadership growth, collaboration with campus operations, and direct oversight of School's Out Days,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with Kindergarten - 5th grade children in camp, afterschool, or youth programs.
• Prior leadership experience in summer camp or youth program with staff supervision.
• Strong leadership presence with ability to motivate staff and ensure day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Assistant Director of Camp Shalom, second-in-command across camp operations and programming.
• Oversee School's Out Days, after-school enrichment, family programming, and birthday parties.
• Lead planning and execution of Kids Night Out and Birthday Party programs.
• Collaborate with Director to develop engaging family programs and ensure strong communication across departments.
