Job summary

Duke University’s Department of Population Health Sciences seeks an Assistant Director of Education to develop and administer DPHS educational programs across undergraduate and graduate levels. This hybrid role requires on-site presence up to 2.5 days per week and close collaboration with faculty, students, staff, and partners across Duke Health and related schools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years designing, delivering, and evaluating education programs in a research setting.
Experience collaborating with faculty, staff and leadership across departments.

Proficiency with MS Office; willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

Lead admissions planning and execution, including Admitted Students Weekend and post-event evaluations.
Oversee development of MS and PhD admissions materials and manage applications.
Ensure smooth onboarding and new student assimilation, including events and speakers.
Develop and implement education marketing and recruitment campaigns.
Coordinate internships, graduate student projects, exams, and defenses logistics.
Support faculty with curriculum, course registration, and program evaluations.
Supervise program staff and manage the DPHS Summer Institute.
Foster alumni engagement and external partnerships.
