Job summary

La Petite Academy is hiring an Assistant Director in Delaware to help run a child care school with the School Director. The role guides safety, operations, and educational care, ensuring a stable, nurturing environment for children.

In the absence of the Director, you will assume full responsibility for the school and staff, while promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth and maintaining a positive school image.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience and at least 1 year in a licensed childcare facility.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and meet state requirements.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director.
• In the Director’s absence, assume sole responsibility for the school.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Foster an educational, caring, safe environment for children and parents.
