Rice University is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving to support the Owl Club fundraising program. This on-campus role focuses on cultivating donor relationships, designing annual giving strategies, and closing gifts of $500 or more.
The candidate will help create electronic, social media, and print messaging for annual appeals. Responsibilities include managing a donor portfolio, conducting one-on-one solicitations, and ensuring donor benefits are fulfilled.
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation,the Assistant Director of Annual Giving will assist in carrying outdesignated duties and responsibilities for the Rice Athletics OwlClub annual giving program. This individual will be involved withthe planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of allOwl Club fundraising efforts in support of Rice’s 350student-athletes. Primary responsibilities involve buildingrelationships through one-on-one discussions with assignedprospects and donors, developing and executing annual givingstrategies, designing proposals, and closing Owl Club gifts with anemphasis on gifts of $500 or more. The assistant director will helpdevelop and design electronic, social media, and print messagingfor Owl Club solicitations as part of the overall annual appealstrategy and collaborate with the athletics development team ondeveloping fundraising strategies.
