Job summary

Peachtree Academy is seeking an Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education to join our leadership team and help guide our mission of nurturing, educating, and inspiring young learners in a faith-based environment.

This role focuses on supporting daily preschool operations, supervising staff, ensuring safe, high-quality instruction for infants through Pre-K, and maintaining licensing standards while collaborating with teachers and families.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in early childhood leadership or administration.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace; experience with ProCare software is a plus.

Position Overview

The Assistant Director supports the administrative management team and the daily operations of the preschool. This role is key in maintaining the health, safety, and quality of education for infants through Pre‑K students. The Assistant Director will work closely with teachers and staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are implemented effectively and that every child’s needs are met with care and excellence. Knowledge of Quickbooks and State regulations would be great!


Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do


  • Welcome and greet visitors and parents.

  • Administrative skills, including typing, organizing documents in Google, and conducting research.

  • Assist teachers with using tablets in the classroom to record learning activities and the daily schedule.

  • Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence.

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to quality standards in accordance with Center guidelines and state and local requirements; implement improvements where needed.

  • Maintain communication with families and the community through appropriate outreach activities.

  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.

  • Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.


Requirements

2 years of professional experience in an early childhood setting is preferred, but not required if you enjoy working with others and take initiative.



  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • A strong understanding of child development.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Work well with other team members.

  • Must clear full background check.

  • Being a problem solver is important!


Nice To Haves


  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Knowledge of Procare Software.

  • Experience working with Google docs.

  • Flexibility in scheduled hours.

About Peachtree Prep, Our Early Childhood Division

The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
