Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Training Specialist to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure top-notch customer service in a fast-paced home improvement environment.

You will drive the company philosophy of the basic P’s of retail and oversee certification, merchandising, pricing, and showroom presentation. Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering product questions, processing POS transactions, and delivering customer-focused demonstrations and mini-classes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Process transactions at POS and handle refunds/exchanges per guidelines.
• Present how-to classes to customers.
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs.
• Communicate SOP changes to associates promptly.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing, and department organization.
• Complete forklift certification and apply safety practices.
• Train and direct Product Sales Specialists to deliver excellent service.

PurposeThis position is responsible for training and developing Product Sales Specialists and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience by receiving exceptional customer service and product information.Minimum Eligibility RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the companyExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentEssential FunctionsAct and work in a manner that is consistent with company’s core valuesDemonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the company’s safe lifting practices standard operating proceduresDemonstrate the ability to drive and teach the company philosophy around the basic P’s of retail.
