The Assistant Dean will oversee course quality, curriculum delivery, faculty development, recruitment and retention, and student engagement while ensuring compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing or related field required; graduate degree in nursing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in academic leadership.
• Must be registered to practice nursing in Nebraska and demonstrate professional leadership activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership (0.50 FTE) with allocations for teaching, research/scholarship, service, and practice.
• Oversee course quality, scheduling, and curriculum delivery across programs.
• Support faculty development, mentorship, and adherence to workload, promotion, and tenure policies.
• Coordinate recruitment, retention, and evaluation of faculty and staff.
• Represent the division in community partnerships and ensure alignment with standards.
• Collaborate to manage division budgets, space, and resources.
