Job summary

OmniCable is seeking an Assistant Distribution Center Manager to partner with the DC Manager in directing a weight-focused warehouse team. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and efficiency in a 5S environment while meeting customer orders and coordinating with sales.

The position requires experience in warehouse operations, supervisory duties, and strong organizational and communication skills for staff and sales collaboration. On-site work in a warehouse is expected.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in warehouse or DC operations with supervisory duties.
• Comfortable in a production environment with high urgency.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Strong communication and leadership to sales and distribution staff.
• Experience with RF technology and computerized WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Process daily orders to ensure customer satisfaction while multitasking priorities.
• Lead with DC Manager and train staff; manage hiring and directing team.
• Coordinate with local and national sales to meet order requirements.
• Assist in facilities management, safety, equipment maintenance and inventory control.
• Lead in absence of DC Manager; open/close facility as needed.
• Fill production area role when volume dictates.
• Work in warehouse setting; may be on-call for emergencies.
• Lift 50-75 lbs repetitively and stand for long periods.
