Job summary

A Child's Heart Learning Center & Nursery in Boise, ID is seeking a nurturing Assistant Preschool Teacher to support a 1-year-old classroom. You will assist the lead teacher with daily routines, activities, and developmentally appropriate experiences that encourage curiosity, safety, and growth.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and strong communication with families and staff. Availability from early morning to early evening is required, with benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Availability 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
• Previous experience as a teacher’s aide preferred.
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in carrying out the curriculum and daily activities, including long and short-range goals.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine, including classroom structures, mealtimes, physical play, a nap period, and outside play.
• Assist in conflict management between children in the classroom; teach them skills they still need to learn.
• Be respectful and create partnerships with coworkers; communicate positively and openly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff; assist with cleaning tasks as needed.
