Job summary

The Assistant Counsel reports to the General Counsel of the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation and provides legal research, analysis, drafting, and transactional support on matters involving municipal finance, water infrastructure, contracts, and grants. Based in New York, this role supports the Office of the General Counsel and interacts with city and state partners.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and admission to New York State Bar in good standing.
• Up to 3 years of experience in general corporate matters, municipal law, environmental law, or local finance law.
• Efficient management of concurrent legal projects with tight deadlines.
• Drafting, review and analytical skills for legal and regulatory documents.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
