Job summary

Villanova University's Theatre Department seeks an experienced, motivated Assistant Costume Shop Manager to work closely with our Costume Shop Manager and student workers for our 26-27 production season of theatre department shows, student group productions, special events and student projects.

Successful candidate will have prior professional experience in costume construction and be equally comfortable teaching as well as building costume pieces and accessories.

Qualifications

• Prior professional experience in costume construction.
• Ability to teach and supervise student workers in a workshop setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or Fashion with emphasis in costume construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Costume Shop Manager and supervise student workers for the 26-27 production season and related activities.
• Contribute to costume construction and create accessories as needed.
• Support theatre department shows, student group productions, events and student projects.
