Glacier Fish Company is seeking an Assistant Cook to work aboard an at-sea processing vessel off Alaska. You will prepare family-style meals, perform kitchen duties, bake breads and desserts, and assist Head Cook with menus and inventory. The role operates on a 24/7 schedule aboard vessels in the North Pacific region.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years’ experience as a cook on a fishing vessel or cruise ship and strong English communication skills. Travel between vessel and Seattle may be required.

Assistant Cook works aboard an at-sea processing vessel of the coast of Alaska in the Bering Sea, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska and Aleutian Islands.
This position prepares family style meals, cleans and maintains a 200 foot vessel with 40 crewmembers, that works on a 24/7 schedule.
$10,000 - $16,000 a month
Crew paid a share of the catch each fishing trip. Average crew share per trip is $6,000 - $10,000 depending on the value of the catch. Each fishing trip averages 12-18 days and can be more or less dependent on fishing conditions.
