Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking an Entry level kitchen position in Magnolia, MS. The role supports meal preparation for Head Start classrooms, assembling food, dishes and supplies for timely service.

You will follow standardized recipes, maintain strict sanitation, and ensure proper food temperatures while keeping the kitchen clean and organized. Previous food service exposure is a plus; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food production with one year of experience or education.
• Working knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures for large scale kitchen production.
• Basic literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble food, dishes, utensils and supplies for timely meal preparation.
• Prepare high-quality nutritional food in quantity as directed by Food Service Manager.
• Follow standardized recipes.
• Prepare and sort food for meal preparation for each classroom.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures for Head Start kitchen.
• Ensure foods are at proper temperatures and kitchen areas are sanitary.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans and utensils using approved sanitation methods.
• Return all items to proper storage.
• Complete routine maintenance of main kitchen and equipment, including weekly deep cleaning.
• Routine cleaning of individual classroom food service areas.
