Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join the accounting leadership team of a publicly traded company in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of external financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include SEC filings, SOX compliance, and coordinating with external auditors. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with ASC updates and complex disclosures, plus a strong close and consolidation background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or in progress preferred.
• 7+ years accounting experience including public company or SEC reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file periodic SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and proxy statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and SOX controls across the reporting process.
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and consultants on filings.
• Draft footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures; support technical memos.
• Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual close; review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support multi-entity consolidation and reporting; manage close timelines.
