Job summary

Derivita is seeking an experienced individual to manage back-office operations and accounting in Lehi, Utah. This full-time position reports to the Operating CFO and provides a direct path to become Controller. Candidates should have a deep understanding of accounting principles and enjoy being integral to the operational fabric of a growing edtech company.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to explain them in plain English.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced small company.
• Looking for a role that will prepare you for Controller or CFO.
• Meticulously organized with reconciled accounts.
• Tech-savvy with modern SaaS stacks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle month-end close process.
• Own accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage payroll processing and employee onboarding.
• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
