Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking an Assistant Controller in Charlotte, NC to lead day-to-day accounting and drive close processes. The role partners with senior finance leadership to strengthen internal controls, improve reporting, and support multi-entity consolidation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA preferred, and hands-on leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with auditors and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Approximately 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GL accounting, reporting, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments is preferred.
• Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors.
• Proficient with ERP and financial reporting systems; strong analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including close and consolidation.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Lead and develop accounting team; establish clear expectations.
• Partner with senior finance leadership on controls and policies.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in finance.
• Support audits and external auditors; liaise with third parties.
• Collaborate across functions to improve financial information flow.
