Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge of GAAP and GASB standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop staff, and build an engaged accounting function.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads staff and functions of corporate accounting, accounts payable, and retail audit.
• Coordinates the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate entries and accruals.
• Generates and distributes financial reports to management and the Board of Directors.
• Maintains the system of accounts and records; oversees chart of accounts and capital reporting.
• Documents and updates operational processes for Corporate Finance.
• Monitors daily cash activity and bank balances; oversees cash management.
• Manages accounts receivable processes to accelerate cash receipts.
• Prepares GASB 87 and GASB 96 entries for compliance.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly variance analyses for decision-making.
• Leads financial process improvements and ERP transformation projects.
• Collaborates with Payroll to ensure accounting alignment.
• Mentors and develops team members; conducts annual reviews.
