Job summary

The Bolton Group is seeking a Plant Controller in Kentucky to lead plant accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for a growing manufacturing operation.

You will partner with operations leadership and corporate finance to drive cost improvement, accurate reporting, and continuous process improvement across the plant finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Manufacturing finance or plant accounting experience.
• Experience leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control processes.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance.
• Ability to communicate financial insights and partner effectively with operations leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all plant accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent financial information.
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate financial systems, processes, and internal controls in alignment with GAAP and corporate policies.
• Manage month‑end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support activities.
• Oversee financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and business plan development.
• Manage and monitor cash flow activities, including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and disbursements.
• Partner with plant leadership and operations managers to identify opportunities for cost improvement and business performance enhancement.
• Participate in ERP, IT, and systems improvement discussions to enhance financial capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
