CPS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our growing finance and accounting team in Chicago. This role supports the Controller with accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills, hands-on NetSuite experience, and a background in financial services or a clear interest in transitioning into that sector.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Controller with day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Manage and oversee portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and financial reporting.
• Utilize NetSuite to manage accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, and financial data.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Analyze financial results and provide explanations for variances and trends.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of management reporting and financial presentations.
• Partner with operational and business teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes within NetSuite.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.
• Support the Controller and leadership team with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.

Assistant Controller

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our growing finance and accounting team. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting the Controller with the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.
