• Ensure minimal disruption during construction on school campuses.
• Oversee contractor compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain daily logs of weather and work progress.
• Coordinate pre-construction and weekly progress meetings.
• Manage the punchlist process at project closeout.

ASSISTANT CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT — OPTIONAL / BENCH DEPTH

WORK LOCATION: IRVINE, CA

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of construction field supervision experience
• OSHA-30 certification
• Public works or K-12 field experience

Preferred qualifications

• Specialty trade focus (MEP, structural, finishes, sitework, etc.)
• DSA project experience
• ICC certifications

Key responsibilities

• Specialty trade coordination (MEP, structural, finishes, sitework, etc.)
• Backup site management coverage
• Daily log support and reporting
• Manage and supervise construction in the field
• Coordinate construction on occupied school campuses with minimal disruption to students/staff
• Oversee contractor implementation of SWPPP and Best Management Practices
• Monitor contractor safety programs — MSDS, IIPP, OSHA compliance, safety meetings
• Maintain daily logs (weather, contractor headcount, work accomplished, problems encountered)
• Coordinate jobwalks, pre-construction meetings, and weekly progress meetings
• Manage punchlist process during closeout
